St. Patrick's Day Fun

We had a lot of fun celebrating St. Patrick's Day.  The day began with Donuts for Dads, where all Dads were invited to enjoy a donut with his child in the cafeteria.  When the students arrived in the room, they were excited to find a mysterious guest had left tiny green footprints and glitter all over the room.  In our social studies, we learned about the country of Ireland and how St. Patrick's Day began.  Some of our other fun activities for the day included: making our leprechaun hats, using our leprechaun finders, reading Leprechaun on the Loose, and making a tasty rainbow treat.  The students were also thrilled to enjoy a bowl of Lucky Charms in green milk after the Duke Power Energy Show.  A big thanks to Mrs. Leopard for surprising us with the Lucky Charms treat.  Here's a video of our day.
