Grinch Day

We had lots of fun on our grinch day!
We played a math "Sum It Up" grinch game.  We rolled 2 dice and wrote the equation on our game sheet.  When you have 3 equations for that total you win!  The students loved playing this math partner game.

 Victoria and Lynli
 Ella and Aubrey
 Emily and Jillian
 Taylor and Mary-Caroline
 Matthew and Ryland
 Trevor and Lance
 Lew and Jackson
 Benjamin and Xavier

We also played a Grinch math game with our table group.  The students pulled a card out of the container without looking.  If they answered the math problem right, they got to keep the card.  However, if you pulled a Grinch card, you had to put all your cards back.  The winner was the one with the most cards at the end.  Another BIG hit with the class!

 Oh, no! The grinch card!
 Look at all Taylor's cards!
Jillian had lots of cards too!

We also made Grinch dust.  Everyone came and added some of the green food coloring to help make the dust.  Ella was our class photographer for this event!

Here's a look at the final product.  I hope everyone sprinkled it on their lawns this year.

We made an adorable grinch and wrote about what makes us feel like a grinch.  They turned out great, but I didn't get any pictures of them.  We also made and enjoyed some grinch punch.  Most of the class liked it.
